|
|

Bambos Michlis was born in Achna, district of Famagusta in 1947. At the age of 20 he moved to Famagusta where he set up his first studio.
His first solo exhibition was at the Lykeion Ellinidon 1969 and his most recent at Diachroniki Gallery in 2006. Since the Turkish invasion of 1974 he has lived and worked in Limassol. In 1980 he started the Art Workshop, along with Xenia Panteli and other artists, where local and foreign artists have worked from time to time. This marked the artists involvement with materials & sculpture.
With the opening of his own workshop in 1985, creating art in the form of paintings and sculpture is his only occupation.
He has taken part in 33 group exhibitions in Cyprus, and in 1987 he exhibited in London along with Toulla Mala and Demetris Michlis.
His works are found in many private collections in Cyprus and abroad.
