Oleg Basaev was born on 17th April 1960 in Beslan. North Osetiya
1977-1981 - Studied in the Fine Arts Department of the Art College of North Osetiya.
1981-1988 - Studied at the Surikov Moscow State Academy.
1988-1990 - Taught painting, drawing and composition at the State College of North
Osetiya.
1990 to present - Teaching painting, drawing and composition at the State Academy of North Osetiya.
1995 - Joined the Russian Union of Artists.
2001 - Promoted to the post of lecturer, head of art department the State University.
2001 - Received the honorary title of the Arts Republic of North Osetiya-Alaniya.

1988-1996 - Participated in group exhibitions in Russia (Vladikavkaz, Rostov on Don, Krasnodar, Moscow).
1996 - Exhibition at Roman Tabakman's Museum of Contemporary Russian Art. New York. USA.
1997 - Russian-American joint exhibition "Young Russia". New York. USA.
1998 - Group exhibition in "IR- ART" gallery at the Central House of Artists. Moscow. This exhibition takes place annually.
1999 - International exhibition "ART- EXPO". Barcelona. Spain.
2000 - All- Russian exhibition at the Central House of Artists. Moscow.
2000 - International exhibition "ART- EXPO". Barcelona. Spain.
2001 - Russian exhibition. Maniege Arena. Moscow.
2001 - International exhibition "ART LINE", Ghent. Belgium.
