BIOGRAPHY
Oleg Basaev born in 1960 in Beslan, North Ossetiya, where he studied Fine Arts, and then went on to finish his studies at the Surikov State Academy in Moscow. Since 1990 he teaches painting, drawing and Composition, at the state Academy of North Ossetiya, where he is at present the Head of the Art Department.
Through Surrealism, with a touch of Symbolism and Minimalism, he paints a metaphysical world in which figures, objects and landscapes merge in perfect harmony, to make a deep and profound impression to any discerning observer.
